Believe it or not, many who voted against it are more concerned with losing 'protections' rather than losing freedom.
As much as we argue against those who wish to 'protect' us with more welfare, government health insurance, increased minimum wages, etc. (all paid for with our tax dollars), we are still the most 'free' nation in the world. The Europeans are much further left than the U.S.

 

Agreed. But in the case of the Dutch they pay more per capita than any of the other memebers to the EU. Sounds unfair to say the least.
