The Traffic...

Man, we got our asses kicked this weekend. Headed back out to Killeen to visit family again, the weather wasn't cooperating, and bad weather usually means wrecks...and lots of them. Sections of I-20 heading into and out of Dallas must have been backed up for 10 or 12 miles at least.

There was a particularly nasty one, the second one we ran into on I-20 about 40 miles outside of Dallas, involving two tractor trailers, a Cadillac and a Dodge pickup I think. The entire passenger's side of one of the tractors was caved in. We fortunately made it back in one piece, but man, all the wrecks and traffic turned a 13-14 hour trip into about a 17 or 18 hour one. Cops and state troopers worked their asses off this weekend from what I saw.

Any of yoos F150online.com'ers out there, make it back in one piece, y'hear?

On the way out to camping I saw a young kid 19-22 in a nice new Black ram off the embankment with a camper in tough wedged in the trees. He was fine but that will sure ruin your weekend.

Sat in traffic for 45 minutes not moving....

[RANT] Why the **** do people cruise along in the left lane and hold everyone up[/RANT]
Me and a bunch of other cars were stuck behind some A-hole driving in the left lane alongside a semi. For a bout 8 miles people were backed up, some were trying to go around him on the inside but could not fit. As soon as it opened up to 3 lane people broke for it and passed. I have never seen so many people pass so fast while honking, flashing and I'm sure doing other things. It is against the law to drive in the left lane unless your passing. What gives him the right to hold everyone up, is it because he is going exactly the speed limit. So what if others are doing 10mph over. Man i need a beer to calm the **** down.

We can't even make Traffic Stops on I35 during the day or evening within the city limits of Austin, it has to be at night other wise people turning their heads to look at the lights or slowing down will cause an accident or cause a 20 mile traffic jam from a 10 minute traffic stop. I'm hoping all of this trans Texas corridor stuff helps out if they ever do it.

Try getting out of Lowe's Motor Speedway when there are 150,000+ people, half of them drunk are trying to get out on a one way road.

Man, if that isn't the damn truth! There's signs all up and down I-20, "LEFT LANE FOR PASSING ONLY," yet there's jackasses doing like 5-10 mph under the speed limit. WTF?
