I got a ticket at my first college for being parked in the WRONG DIRECTION (I was in one of those diaganol parking spaces that you drive one way into, I pulled through that morning so I had to back ALLLL THE way back to the entrance...oops, and that was a $20 ticket too)Hell some of those other things wont necessarily work out for you any better either, classes you want will be full, your schedule will be a pain in the *** to figure out, you have to figure out what classes to take for your major, etc etc etc. High School was easy, somebody was always there to tell you what to do. Not always so when youre in college.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news and all

HA HA. Wait until you have class 3/4 of a mile across campus and only 15 minutes to get there. Ohh and it takes 7 mins to walk to your car from the last class. 10 minutes to navigate out of the parking lot, through traffic and pedestrians, then through the next parking lot. Then you have to park 5 minutes away from that class too. Only to find out later that by the time you found a parking place your car actually only moved a total of about an 1/8 of a mile. So you walk to that class from then on and are still late but not as late. LOL
^^^^ Congrats FL! Now the fun begins...
No bull. There was a sidewalk at my college that lead to the front door... almost 1/2 mile away. I lost an avg of 10 lbs per semester. lol. If your going to college FL, just don't let anything discourage you in the least, and strive for the grades. And remember, you are at college to learn , not to make friends. Although friends are nice, listening to the proffessor, taking notes, and studying, are #1 priorority. And don't let your mind stray to far from your classwork. You have to look at going to college the same way as getting up in the morning and going to a job. You do what the teacher (boss) tells you to do. If you successfully complete your assignment (job), you will be rewarded with a good grade. Same as in the real world, except you get money instead of the grade. Good grades = mucho $$$$$$$$$$$!

Something to think about. I went to the largest Law School in the USA, and the CHEAPEST private law school. $810/credit, and you need 90 credits to graduate. Do the math!
Also, you have to sign a contract with the ABA PRIOR to being admitted to law school, that you will not work more than 20 hours/week while attending full time!
So graduate from undergard, get a job, put away a lot of money (enough to live off of for 3 years, rent, books, insurance etc...)
This is not a decision to be taken lightly!
Luckily I had a good paying position out of Undergrad (MSU Michigan) that allowed me to pay off my undergrad loans and had an arbitration settlement go in my favor. So it wasn't that much out of pocket.
Another thing to consider, Some law schools will give you 100% scholarship if your GPA and LSAT scores reach a certain level. Where I attended my Girlfriend (soon to be fiancee') had a 45% scholarship and I had 25%.
Hell, I wish I could go back to high school sometimes. I graduated in 2000, and it makes me feel sad sometimes about how easy things were back then. No (or few) bills, no waking up to the rat race, no 7-6 five days a week, so on and so on.
lol as much as easy as high school may have seemed now, I would never ever re-live it. Too much hell in four years to live through again. It feels good now that summer is here and I have a decent work schedule (noon to seven). I have time to do ish in the morning, then hang out at the evening. And where I work is cool, the people there are all decent.
I just got back from the Ford dealer; got my cd player exchanged
No skippy anymore.

I remembered reading this article a while back, thought it was appropriate to post the link here. It's Neal Boortz's commencement speech. Good stuff.
