OOOOHHH......you can only post 3 images/smilies to each post.

If you post 3, you'll be good to go.

Well, I tried to assist, but it came up red x's...

I guess the site is not allowed to hot-link to this one...

Someone will have to save them to their gallery, then repost.

Cool stinger pics. Amazing that the missle is as long as the launcher; that Avenger system is cool too. I wanted two of those to protect our site, but- se got a Patriot batter instead...

Flyertom is right; the apple shot was made in total darkness with a custom made short duration strobe. Believe it was triggered with a chronograph type field and a delay if memory serves me correctly...

I don't have pics to share, but when I was a kid living at the Naval Weapons Lab in Dahlgren, VA. we could go out on the big National pride holidays, ie 4th of July, Memorial Day, Vets Day and watch them shoot the 16" guns down the range on the Potomac River. This was in the early 60's and the Navy had all those guns there. They would test various shells on armor plate from 15 miles away. Point of my story is, when the guns fired, you could actually see the 16" projectile with the naked eye as it flew to its target...miles down the river.

edited to add: that is 16" in DIAMETER! About 5 feet long!
