Checking for Limited Slip
Do a nice big burnout. If both tires start smoking, you got LS, if only one does, you got open.
Or just look on the drivers door jam and there is a sticker with all this stuff about your pickup, look for 'Axle" and look under it, there will be a number. Get that number, go to fordf150.net, and there is a place where you can decode that sticker, and you can find your axle number and see what gears it has, and if its LS or not.
And I know if the number is 19 you have 3.55 gears with an open rear end.

Additionally, if you crawl under the truck and look at the toe tag on one of the rear axle cover bolts, it'll show ratio and whether or not it's limited slip. An open differential will read something like "331" or "355" or "373," indicating a regular 3.31, 3.55, or 3.73 gear respectively. Limited slip gearing is identified as "3L31," "3L55," or "3L73."
