Cool thanks...

There are too many models of StreamLight flashlights...please help me to pick correct one what i need it.

I m looking for good short-mid range, and not LONGER/far range.

You know to look under the truck, look at engine bay and truck bed, walk thru hiking/trails during at night.

Also i want good last-longer battery, not just regular battery C or D cells.

Thanks!
YOMAN!

Bought a pretty good one from the Snap-On man.

Small, compact and bright.

Nothing better than a Maglite. Buy the 3D cell one and add a Luxeonstar LED bulb.

I have one and it's very nice. The beam pattern is a little weird (like a butterfly) but the light is pure white and very bright.

YOMAN... you might want to check out this site on flashlight reviews - http://www.flashlightreviews.com/index1.html Look at the "reviews" section....

I bought one of the Brinkman Maxfire LX lights - incandescent lithium - $19.99 @ Walmart.... I then bought a dozen of the Surefire 123A batteries $15/dozen).... this thing is great for the price !!! Very bright and worth every penny!

The info on that sire is pretty detailed... never knew anyone could be into flash lights so much.....

also try www.mec.ca

Mountain Equipment Co-op has some really kewl camping/biking/hiking/climbing stuff. They have stores and do mail order as well.

Any store branded merchandise (MEC brand) is as good if not better than the brand names are. Its a case where you are actually paying for quality.

I have a Inova mini flashlight that has 5 led bulbs and takes 123A lithium batteries that seem to last forever. The light is very white but only useful for very short distances or very dark areas. It is also a very inexpesive light. For most uses, I've given up on the LED's. I have a Streamlight and a Surefire that I use 99% of the time and they are both great lights. The Surfire works better but the streamlight has a more convenient tail switch. They are both rechargable but are much more expensive. If your just looking for something to say, look under the hood at night or look around a toolshed the LED should do fine. If you plan on using the light outside, even at night, you might want to look for a different (halogen or xenon) bulb.

edit: I also have the inova one LED keychain light which can be had for about 7 bucks and I feel is a must have. That way you always have some kind of light with you in any situation.

websites like www.galls.com should have a pretty good selection.

streamlight stinger, comes with a house and vehicle charger for about $80 its available in aluminum or a composite. I have been using one for about 10 years, 15000 candle power @ 1 1/2 continous burn time. comes with extra bulb in the tail cap. switch has a lifetime guarantee
