It is also thought that there will be two versions of Xbox Live!, classed as Silver and Gold editions. It looks likely that Silver will be free but only available on weekends, whereas Gold is an always available subscription offering. The Xbox 360 looks to be quite a powerful bit of technology, with the included RAM being especially generous. Sony may win out in the raw processing stakes, though, if the Cell processor is as good as people suggest. I doubt the PlayStation 3 will be as generous with the included memory, though, going on Sony's past performance in this area. Thanks to GamesAreFun.com for the heads-up.

I think nintendo is going the way of Sega... just a software company will be left if they come out with another underpowered stinker and keep this cute and fuzzy image... Nintendo is already dead to me.
All Nintendo has left is handhelds...
They have gotten their ***** kicked on consoles, simply because they stuck with cartridges one generation too long, then the mini-disc...
Now, who was as hot to me (Graphis's wise) as X-Box and PS, PSII are today; was 3DO...
Talk about good graphics...
To date, I have never seen a Need for Speed better an onyone's system, than the Need for Speed on 3DO, and I'm talking 1995 technology and graphics..
By default, X-Box & PS II should be better- but, I have PS-II and X-Box, and to me- there is no comparison...
I don't know what happened to 3DO, it's like Playstation came out, and boom- 3DO was like the dinosaurs...
Marketing supremacy- just with the name "Playstation"... Whether it was craptacular or not, the name was gonna peak interest.
I still love the Genesis- I could still burn down a few hours playing "Desert Strike" or "Jungle Strike"

I've been a Nintendo fan since my first NES. With a 6 year old son the system fits the bill for him. I don't play much anymore but man I hope they get this one right.
Don't come out with the new Virtual Boy (remember that) and get killed again. This is their last shot at a console.

Sounds like it's gonna scream!
Any word on the approximate cost? I can't see a machine that powerful going for less than $300

I have 2 daughters that like to play. I usually let them have at it with the Game Cube. The XBOX and PS2 are for me. All the games I have for my Game Cube are non-violent or as graphic as my PS2 games anyway. (Manhunt, geeez-us-have you played this?)
I hear NINTENDO is thinking of a touch screen "controller" instead of the traditional controller.
I dunno, but what I do know is, it will be rather interesting to see the battle come alive - sooooon.
