Tonight I'm going to be sampling Johnnie Walker Gold Label Scotch Whiskey. yummy. I've been to 4-5 of their Black Label promotional events (12-yr old whiskey) but the 18-yr old gold label should take the cake. I think the stuff is like $100+ a bottle. They will also be surving "fine deserts." Mmmmmm

well, how was it ??

 

Wow. Wow. The event was great. For the Black Label events I go to, it's in a nice hotel but in more of a ballroom setting with lots of long tables and about 200 people. This event was in a swank fondue restaurant. We almost didn't get in because it was capped at 50 people. I had to sweet talk the gorgeous woman at the door. Anyway, the place was real nice and the chocolate fondue was fabulous. There were beautiful Johnnie walker ladies serving the hordeurvs (spelling) and eventually the Gold Label. Anyway, I've never had the gold label before. It is fantastic! Definitely worthy of a gold designation! I probably had 6oz or so with my fondue. Combined with the beers I drank for dinner before hand, I was pretty trashed.

Tonight I'm going to a beer tasting party with some guys I know. We try a lot of foreign beers we've never tried. Last time Baltika from Russia was the winner. I better watch the drinking
