You should put a ford engine in it and then it will run right.

You should drop your autoshop class, and take an english class or two.

I have to agree. Someone needs about 20 english credits starting with the basics. Secondly, no telling what happened to that truck in 12X,XXX miles. Maybe it was beat on by some dumb autoshop kid, while your ford was driven by a nice old lady who too great care of her car. Lets be real, a lot happens in 12X,XXX miles.

I tradded a perfectly good 2000 z71 1/2 ton on a 2002 f-150, booth bought new, which truck was the biggets pain the ****.....The ford, tie rods, ball jiont's, power windows fell off the tracks 3 times inside the drivers door, heater core, rear diff ford dealer was awful, dumped the 02 and bought a 04----f-150, no problems to speak off, blanket staements abought ford, chevy, dodge are lame, they all have = potental to be good or bad...some f-150 owners here have concerns abought thier trucks as well, good comments to.

You should, however, consider putting a thread like this in the CORRECT FORUM... the ENGINE FORUM isn't the one...

Moved to General... where it'll meet it's demise I'm sure.

so you're comparing a full size with a 5.8L to an S-10? And somehow you think that this is indicative of Ford vs GM quality?

What about a 5.7 Silverado compared to a Ranger? You may also see the smaller truck not lasting as long.

As far as one lasting longer than the other... too many variables to say for sure.

As far as the S-10 not starting or running right... what? you want a brand new car with no issues in your shop class? ISn't that usually why a vehicle goes in for repair? Because it isn't working?
