well each to his own i guess.... and maybe there are dump looking to you... bueaty is in the eye of the beholder...plus these didnt come from no autozone these are a set of 350.00 lights that are 10 times better than any autozone but anyway that is my thought and im sure you have yours as i can see...the balck euro lights i have look great alot better than i was hopeing my truck is a xlt and no lightning....lol thay even have euro lights on factory cars so i assum reading what you said that u just dont like euros at all ...but i wasnt asking if anyone likes them it has to do with going from a 3 bulb system to a 2 bulb system like the 01 to 03 have or i have seen that yr models at the dealer with them ..... but thanks for your reply
"euro"lights are a waste of time and money...true....beauty is in the eye of the beholder....this beholder thinks putting euro lights and top fuel wings in hondas and accuras and that sort of thing makes me cringe...sorry i'm old school...but if i park my '63 falcon convertable next to joe schmoe in his euro taillited whatever...

In the spirit of the advice you were actually looking for, you probably just got sent the wrong set of lights. Call whoever you got them from and explain to them that your bulb setup calls for more wires and bulbs than your lights have sockets for, and they should be able to set you up with what you actually need.

I'm still new to F150s, but I have a styleside 97 that I'm pretty sure is just a 2 bulb setup (combination for the taillight/turn signal, and a single bulb for the reverse light). Are you sure that you're just not looking at it wrong (cause I do that all the time with wires)?
Did you take the original lenses out and physically see that there are three bulbs?
I'm genuinely trying to help, just so you know.
You must have amber parking lights on your stock tails. The parking lights on my 01 are wired into the brake light. In other words, when I turn my park lights on, it lights up my brake lights but they are dim. My park light and my brake lights use the same bulb. You problably have a different light placement for your park lights. Which is the reason for an extra bulb on yours. I'd send them back and try to find another set that actually fits.

I want a flareside bed, though; so if your truck's black we could work something out and I'll bet it'd be easier for you to get the lights you like with a styleside.
You won't get it to work right unless you start splicing wires and soldering. Basically you'd need a schematic of the tail light circuitry to get you through this. Maybe try posting this in the electrical forum.
im real sure i even took them to the dealer and it seems they only know what a pc or book tells them lol......mine is the early 97 ....but same body style as the 99 to 03 lightning my tail lights are ovel or egg shpe a lil and they are all red and you turn them over and theres 3 wholes for you to twist 3 different bulbs in i have pics if you could tell me how to put them on here i have pics of my lights my truck and the open whole thay sit in and all three bulbs
Well, this is damn strange. Just rewire the suckers the old fashioned way: Fiddle with a multimeter and probe set until you figure out which wires do what, then start cutting and soldering. After the third or fourth time, you should've stopped shorting things out and blowing fuses and then everything'll be fine.
