Auto Zone and M1

Auto Zone has the Mobil 1 Full Synth (5qts.) and M1 filter together for 29.90. I know that the M1 filter is 11 bucks easy and that makes the 5 qts. cheaper than the wally world 5qt.jug or the Peppy boys 3.99. Limit 2

I was talking to a buddy at Advance Auto about the 75k special advance formula oil or whatever, he said it will thin out your gaskets and cause leaking, something to that extent. Any truth?
