Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
It's like crack. I started playing it on XBox yesterday afternoon at around 4 PMish, next thing I know, it's midnight. The graphics keep getting better and better with each installment; the lighting and shadow effects are incredible. And Michael Ironside voices Sam Fisher perfectly, the one liners are hilarious. You've got a knife this time around too, so instead of holding his pistol to someone's head after he nabs them, he holds the knife to their throats. The second level takes place on a cargo liner, in certain parts on deck, you can stab people in the back and kick 'em overboard. Lots of neat new toys and tricks to play with. Definitely worth a rental, if not buying.
Amen! I loved the first one but I thought the second one was a little too easy. This one is great! I'm getting ready to start the very last mission now but I think I'm going to go replay some of the earlier missions first to make sure I get 100% completion.
I got the first splinter cell when it came out a while back and played it a little. It just seemed to me that their was too much sneaking around. I personally like more "shoot em up" games. I have all the other Tom Clancy games and think there awsome, especially ghost recon, got them all!
But I believe the all time best Xbox game is HALO! But HALO 1 not Halo 2. I mean Halo 2 was OK but it had a sucky ending and didnt live up to expectations.

Man, I bought that game cause of the 2 player co-op. I figured what could be funner then playing a co-op on a game your supposed to be all quiet on when you are drunk. But I returned it cause I didn't have anyone to play it with and 50 bucks was to much cash. Ill get it used it in a few months.

Anyone play Doom 3 yet on Xbox? I have played the other Splinter Cell games before and like them so I guess I'll get Chaos Theory since I know it'll be good. I played the Doom 3 demo and it was pretty cool. Just wondering if anyone has played the real game for a bit and how you like it.
I loved having Sam sneak up behind folks and grab them with the gun to their head. Sometimes I'd pop 'em afterwards, but usually I'd knock them out, then pop 'em.
I haven't played 2 or 3, but the commercial for 2 was cool, seeing Sam come up out of the grass and sock that guy...
What makes stuff like that seem realistic and cool is- I've been that guy in the grass (That Sam wouldda socked), patrolling or being OP-FOR, attacking an enemy. Pitch black, and you can't see isht; some nights- not even w/NVG's...
Awesome..

Hey I thought about buying this game but never played them before. I like the solo sneaking idea a bit more than the team or dukenukem shoot fest games. Should I get the first one and play that through or just get Chaos theory.
Same play style in both games?

I don't think you'd necessarily miss anything playing Chaos Theory before the first two games, although there's some good plot that ties all three together if you play them sequentially. Chaos Theory is the easiest of the three though.
