Yeah, I'm gonna call the Mounties tomorrow and discuss this with them. The husband said that he figures it's like a hit and run if I don't provide the insurance info, which I think is total BS. I just wanted to avoid having insurance companies involved b/c even if it went to court and I came out on top, I'm sure it would still show on my record somehow, someway and they would try and justify a premium increase. I wish I'd remebered I had my digital camera with me and taken some pics before she so hurriedly got out of her van and pushed the cart out of the way. I guess I'll know for next time. It just really PMO, because I put on about 30-40 thousand miles a year, incident free, only to have some doped up wench come along and really ruin my month.

Oh yeah, I did get her insurance info and called, but they are not obliged to discuss this with me. I got somewhat angry and said "Fine, I'll see ya in court" The husband called me that night and said a claims adjuster had called him with that news and a few outright lies to boot. The husband even said I tried to run his old lady over, AAAAAARGH!!!!

 

Yea they seem to be playing dirty to get your money that you worked for.

Sounds more like aquaintenece (sp?) of the family... & Friends when they need something from you...
I'd contact wal-mart and get a copy of the tape if they have one. Then tell your family aquantineces that you don't feel liable at all. BUT you have went out of your way to make it right and if they keep trying to get more out of you than than what they are owed then all nagosiations (sp?) are off and they can get what ever if any that the courts say that they need. If you get the tape dont tell them about it and see how many lies they will generate about the incident. Then use the tape to dispell thier stories and win the case in court. The more lies that they make up about it the better off that you will be in court.

Jeesh... With friends like that, I'd hate to see what your enemies do to you... I try to keep my friends close and my enemies closer... But prentending to be friends with them is carrying it a little to far.

Well I pretty much figured everybody's reply would be unanimous, I mean after all, if I decided to try and manouvre a shopping cart with my truck and the same thing happened, I know I would not hold the other party at all responsible. Like Forrest says "Stupid is as stupid does"

You are parked, chick comes rolling in, decides she is going to ram a shopping cart (cause she is too lazy to move it or too impatient to find another spot) and she's bitchin about a scratch on her ride?

She rams the cart, and is mad because she has a scratch on her car....
