Thanks man!

I think my alternator or voltage regulator is bad or is going bad!

It was hilarious some Eclipse tried to race my friend and me last night. Regardless I gave him about 10 car lengths out in front of the local college and just hammered it. When we went by chirping into 3rd they were like Funny part is they were wanting to put down $200 on it and all I had was the plastic. I was pretty pissed to say the least but it was a good laugh.

It's not really mine, it's the hubbies. But here is the classic we have right now:

This is the one I had but had to trade it in, I had so much fun with this car:

Jamzwayne,

My mom had a 76 like that (well reg cab) 390 4:11 rear, it was a friggin beast. When I was 2 years old my great aunt and I took an unexpected detour from the road and totaled my grandmothers 20'x40' horse stable (No horses in it)! She was 72 and the time and we both walked away without a scratch. The truck OTOH was pegged at WOT when my mom showed up, the dashboard was bent even. A new front clip and that truck was back on the road. LOL

No image linking from this site so a link will do for now. The mustang on the right is a 69 Coupe, vanilla all the way. 302 2V V8, C4 slushbox, 3rd member 8.8 rear - 2:79 IIRC I've rebuilt this car so many times in my head that I'm surprised it hasn't fallen apart from wear.

Here's one of my 53 3100 (half ton) all original except the wheels (soon to be stock.) Lots of fun to drive, but with factory 5.14/1 gears and a 3 speed, it tops out at 45.
We've got about $20,000 invested and three years work in it. Engine bay really needs detailing....ill get on that soon! It idles so slow, you can almost count the fan blades as they rotate...im guessing 250-300 rpm's or so.

Green,

A fella I work with has a 65 Chebby that his grandad bought new. He's in the process of tearing it down and working it back to driveable, it will never ba a show truck unless he buys all new metal for it. He has no idea what he's undertaking.

yep....ground up restorations are a pain!
We were lucky....our truck had lived its whole life in Las Vegas as a company truck for an upholster (sp?)....truck was straight as an arrow...absolutely no rust anywhere....lucky find!
