I didn't know that about Jesse Either.

I know someone that works for Discovery in NY. He has met Jesse a couple time (at parties, not like they are buds or anything) and says he is one of the most down to earth guys you can talk to . Eddie said he acts different on TV than he is in real life. I would like to meet him. I remember watching one of the first TV shows on him a few years ago. He was pounding out a gas tack from sheet metal. It was and still amazing what the guy can do.

I don't know what Jesse did for Boyd, I read it on Boyd's site or the American Hotrod site under the Discovery Channel. It was in one of Mrs Coddington's Q&A's. All she said was "Yes Jesse worked for Boyd" or something to that effect. I think that's almost word for word though.

EDIT:

Q: Did Jesse James work at Boyd Coddington's shop?
A: Yes, Jesse James did work for Boyd.

I watched it, he did that at the Fix auto in Anaheim, same place that put my F-150 back together to the tune on 12k after my accident last December.

I knew Chip use to... But I didn't know that about Jesse either.

I could NOT work for Boyd EVER... After watching a few episodes of his show they seem to do decent work, BUT I don't like the way he treats his people.. I will not intentionaly buy a Boyd product now myself... The personallity that Chip portrays seems pretty laid back, and he IS in the shop working too... Not just barking orders. Leads me to belive that if you buy Foose then you get Foose work. Appear that if you buy Boyd then you get some guys work that is making minimum wage in Boyds shop.

Does anyone know why the bad blood between Boyd and Chip Foose. I have been wondering that since I saw the episode when Charlie quit. I agree w/ some of the others that posted here, I couldn't/wouldn't work for Boyd Coddington. Sometimes he seems like an OK guy but most of the time he comes off kind of like a jerk to have for a boss.

Although it's good for morale every now & then, the boss doesn't have to get in there and work...

That's what employees are for.

Plus, the guy I saw Boyd fire, needed to be fired...

Yea Blue Bear needed the boot in a bad way. But with Boyds attitude, I'm afraid I would probably act much the same way.. Except with less humor.

I'd rather pay someone to answer the phone for me, do the book work, marketing, etc. so that I could be in the shop.

I expect more from the products that I purchase than a name stuck on it...
