Question TFT- LCD Monitors

I was wondering what brand LCD monitor you all are using.
I am looking into buying a new LCD monitor.
19 inch.

I understand, a low m/s is important for gaming and stuff.

Anyone here with the Samsung 913N with 8 m/s.

If you have some info about the different brands, pros and cons and which ones not to buy, please post.

TIA

i'd check newegg.com they have best prices good service and RMA. i deal with them specifically and have used their components and monitors for several large scale businesses. never received bad product from them. but for LCD monitors go with Samsung,NEC Viewsonic, or Hyundai

http://www2.newegg.com/Product/Produ...82E16824179014

this is the one im lookin at getting

I've been using a Samsung SyncMaster 570V TFT monitor for sometime now(over two years). Havn't had one problem with it.

I've got the ViewSonic VG910b. The price was right and the quality is excellent with a DVI cable. I bought it from NewEgg.com, who I highly recommend. The most gaming I do is MS Golf...

As far as the M/S goes on the monitors where would you start to actually notice a difference?

In general, the lower the response time the better of course but I also read tests where 23 m/s will do also for gaming and video.

Dead pixels

An option is to pay a small amount more, like $35, if your screen has a dead pixel or several, you can get a new one within 8 days.
Well at least here.

Did you all have any dead pixels?

Well my whole deal is I'm building a computer just for the hell of it that will be running 4 monitors. I have a Sony, View Sonic and NEC right now, but I will be getting rid of all 3 of these so I can get 4 matching and I'm thinking of going with either a Balance that has a 16MS time or possibly some off brand from new egg that has a 38ms response time.

Mine is a 13" Envision monitor. Its not the best, but it works great. It was actually a cleareanced model and there are some areas of the screen where it looks like it had faded. But I got it for Christmas and it was all my parents could really afford at the time.

I have the Dell 2001FP 20.1" LCD.

specs: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/P...tegory_id=4009

Review: http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1918

16ms, 1600x1200 max res, USB 2.0 x4, 4 inputs (VGA, DVI, S-Video, Composite)

I've had it for a year now. Bought it new on Ebay for a little under $800 shipped.
I like it a lot! It had one dead pixel when I got it. But it doesn't bother me.

Also got a set of Dell 5.1 surround sound speakers. The center channel hooks to the monitor.
