68% Dixie, although with this score I did change answers to see the others.

I retook it and got 85% the 2nd time, with the same answers as the first time (didnt change answers before hitting calculate).

Some of those questions I could have answered multiple choices...so not sure if that makes a difference

umm, someone can be both a redneck and a yankee at the same time. We're called 'white trash'. Trust me, I know...

OK, this show's that despite having been born, raised and lived the better part of my life in the great Northwest, the time that I spent in Texas and Louisiana definitely had an affect on me!!

46% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category.

Got 74%, said that indicated a strong Dixie influence.
Lived in the South all my life.
I use the terms but, I don't have the accent or drawl.
My wife on the other hand moved here from New England, picked up the word usage and the accent. I guess it's so noticable because she went from one strong dialect to another.

When she gets around her family they delight in laughing at her speech.

I wasn't around for the civil war, so I had no part in any of that. I also didn't have any part in slavery, sepratism, or any of the other stupid, ignorant things people of this country have done.

My score is 30% Yankee. I'm not really sure what that means. I guess it means that I pronounce words differently than people from other reagions. Does that really mean anything? I'm here in western MA and 90 miles east in Boston people pronounce words totally different. When I park the car, I park the car. Just the way it's spelled.

If you people in the "south" think blue and John Kerry when you think Yankee, you are mistaken. There is a lot of blue hear in the North East but if you look you'll see some bright, proud, red shining through! First and fore most I'm American.
