No one really wants to say. Supposedly, there's Hurricane prototype engines in the big Expedition, Everest, Excursion, whatever they're gonna call it, test mules.

You could easily make our 5.4 run hard like a hurricane...Why do people make such a big deal over this "hurricane" engine when we have a perfectly capable 5.4 that could easily make 400 hp You could prolly get your 400 hp out of the 5.4 and it would still probably last longer than a larger displacement engine.......

I think Ford doesnt follow the hype as other truck makers do in building large, fuel guzzling engines, in the name of performance. Quality, reliability, and potential is there game when building engines. I honestly don't see Ford building this Hurricane engine, especially when they have just intro'd these new 3 valve engines. If they could sell a million of them they might, but to me if Ford did that they would look to much like Dodge.

they were smart... they stopped when they saw gas prices going north. there are enough people now talking about trading in their trucks for cars. A 6.2 L gas hg would have some fans... but probably been a sales flop.

That is true, the 2 valve 5.4 in the Lightning with a supercharger is making approx. 420hp at the flywheel and putting down approx. 365hp at the wheels…
