Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Bush and his conservative agenda and buddies put us deeper into debt than at any time ever?

Yes, that's correct. A record budget surplus into record deficits. They've got a quite a few records. The most glaring one is the most civilians killed in a terrorist attack, the least is the most DUIs by an administration. It ain't purty!

p.s. I really didn't--I didn't bother voting because Illinois is a locked democratic state; there's no point.

Eh, my favorite bumper sticker is still just one word "IT", with a little stick figure humping it...

Hey Green_98,

You might be interested to know that I voted for "your boy" Geroge these last two elections.

However, that doesn't mean he gets clear sailing (i.e. no criticism) when he (they) are messing up. This administration, of the party that supposedly believes in less government, has increased government in size and scope to be bigger than ever before. And this administration, of the party that supposedly is for less spending, has spent more than ever before. Closed minded allegience to a side, and listening to and believing in only the party line, results in the kind of bull***** that has become the "us" v. "them" mentality that seems to be so prevalent these days, and demonstrated so clearly on numerous forums here. It also results in asinine demonstrations of ignorance, such as those gleaming witticisms on the bumperstickers from the site linked above .

With apologies to the writers of The Paper Chase and the late John Houseman.

So using your fuzzy logic....There were 20 agencies with 100,000 employees, and they are combined into 1 agency with 100,000 employees how does that make it any smaller?

where is your proof that government was expanded?

All those agencies report to homeland security. MANY people (including some in my family) were reassigned during the transformation, People who were colse to retirement took an early out. The FBI is hiring 2000 people this year to help offset the amount of people who quit/retired over the last few years. The FBI hasn't hired 2000 agents in the last 5 years combined.

Don't kill the messenger just becuase you don't like the message.

Well I'm about as conservative as they get. I voted GOP in every election I've voted in. I hated Clinton, Gore, etc. I can't stand liberalism.

That said....The Republicans are far from conservative. They have been a huge disappointment. They have had control of the House for years, the Senate for some time and the Presidency for the last 5. Our government has grown in size and created a huge deficit. They haven't cut the size or scope of the gov't. Our civil liberties are more infringed than before and 9-11 is no excuse. You don't gut the Constitution to protect it.

I believe GW is a good man, misguided but moral. He has some sound domestic theories - SS and a massive changing of the tax system. But they (the GOP) aren't getting anything done and never will. They (NEO-CONS) aren't true conservatives. I love tax cuts but not when you put spending on top of that.

I just chalk it up to the GOP and DEMs are 2 sides of the same coin. The Gov't is gonna grow with either its just a matter of how much and where.

I like it

I have to agree that all political bumper stickers should be removed at this point. I removed my W after the election was over.
The best bumper sticker I've seen to date was one that read this, "the road to hell is paved with liberals". no offense to the liberals out there. I just thought it took b@lls to put that on his vehicle.
To be honest, I think that bumper stickers in general are fairly stupid. Peoples religious/political views are best kept to themselves and their families. We have alot of "Aint SKeered" or "Fear This" bumper stickers here in Florida. What ever! If you want people to know you are stupid, than just have one that says "I'm Stupid" on your bumper or window. That would be much more effective.
