Tour of Georgia
very cool Serrota.
I've not had the opportunity to ride the hills of Ga. yet but love to climb. Don't ask me why, I guess some of us just like to suffer. I too am not in the best of shape these days but may sign up for the Six Gap this year. Let me know if you decide to do it as well. Perhaps we could get a few somewhat out of shape roadies to ride with. Even fully out of shape I'm pretty sure I could do a FL century one legged. The 6 Gap has always appealed to me because of the challange presented. I need a reason to get back on the bike.

Looks like the toughest climb is Hogpen Gap, and I've already done it and know I can survive.

Let me know, I may be able to get my friend in East Point Ga. to join us.
I've heard the climb up Dahlonega is 7 miles long, not sure of the grade but that's one long climb. If I remember correctly it is sometime in September.

TOM DANIELSON with the Discovery Channel team won with a 26.53'44"
Lance was behind with a 26.55'25" Just 1'41" behind the leader.
With 3 of the top 10 being with the Discovery Channel team, it will help out with the team trials in France and all through the race. Should be an interesting Tour De France.

Cool! I'm glad to hear that Lance and The Discovery Channel team did well. I'm not sure if the competition is strong enough in The TDG to get a good reading on the team, definately good news though. I really want Lance to come out and just crush the TDF this year. I still say the TT's will be telling. Lances closest margin of victory came when he struggled in the TT two years ago. and if the team had not picked up the points for winning the Team TT it may have been a different story in the end.

ya, the way the TT's work for points and time, its a huge factor. To bad I dont get OLN to watch the race, that and I'll be in Colorado away from the TV. To much suspence waiting on ESPN every few day's to show each results.
