Sold my Z today...
Yep, I'd been toying with the idea of supsension or sell, and my buddy needed to borrow it while his wife's car is in the shop. After driving it for a day, he called me up made me an offer, and when I went over there just to say hi they whipped out the check book, and made it official.
I've got exhaust on order for the Stang, and have decided the money from the Z will be used to paint my Belvedere this summer. I've got to figure out what the color is called, but I've got it chosen. I want the burnt orange color from the (useless POS) Daytona package Ram. I figure it's a Mopar color, and even though it isn't a B-body it IS a B-body nameplate (@@#$&^*&%'s)...

You need to post some pix of that Fury. My Dad recently sold a '57 Savoy he'd had for a while. Well, I say '57 we never really figured it out (or tried too hard...) It had the Golden Cammando 350 in it which was apparently only available in '58...
If I remember right he got to keep the engine in the trade and gained a pretty clean mostly original '51 Chevy... 2-dr, but I can't remember if it was a post or not...
BTW, the name of the color I want to paint my Belvedere is Go Mango!

Sorry you had to part with the Z
But the mod money goes farther with just 2 rigs to support instead of 3! Post some pictures of the Belvedere when you get it painted, sounds kinda like the color I saw on a Ranger a few years ago that I really liked.

I took it down to bare metal underneath and inside. painted it all with POR15 then chassis black.
Converted the front end to disc brakes and fitted all new polygraphite bushings.
Changed the back axle for a 71 Challenger axle with posi and better drums.
New springs, coil over shocks and traction bars.
I have rebuilt a 727 tf box and have a 440 Big Block on the rotisserie.
Got KB pistons, Childs & Albert rings, Federal bearings and ARP studs.
I just have to finish the engine, install it and do a rewire and I'm cruising again.
