Well, i bought the ranger

Here it is, a 1990 ford ranger. It has a 2.9 v6, a 5 speed manual, 4 wheel drive, pioneer cd player and much more. I just bought it today for $700. I drove it alot today also, very fun banging through all the gears. Here are some pics. Tell me what you think.
I had other pics but they didn't want to up load, so i just have these.

well the passenger side door is rusted out major, but he gave me a replacement door with mirror and window to go with the truck, and two extra tires. It has it's share of problems, oil leaks out of the head covers, but i will be getting new gaskets for them, and it has other leaks, but not that bad. All in all, it is very nice for the price.

if you can get one of those oil leaks over the exhaust then you don't have to worry about mosiquitos (sp?)! Had a 87 Cherokee with bad rear main seal that I drove that way for a while... I'd Fill it up with oil and check the gas every so often.

Actually oil is leaking on to the manifolds, but not enough to make it smoke or smell really bad. I'm in the process of cleaning out the truck right now, windows and carpets, dash, seats, just about everything. It has some major exhaust leak and it sounds like it's running without a muffler and cats, almost right off the manifold. Everything is still there, but i'm not sure if there is a hole somewhere of if one of the pipes are coming off the manifold. Any clues on how to get the shifter **** off? I bought a different shifter **** and want to replace the stock one, but can't get it off. Any clues? There is also a long crack across the windshield. Has anyone replaced their own windshield by them selves? I was thinking of getting a good window out of a junk vehicle and putting it in place of the old one. Will this work?

I've done it but it's a pain. Ussally worth the $25 or whatever to have a glass shop install the one from a salvage yard.

Cool, gotta love a cheap beater.

The **** should just be pressed onto a spline. You might need a heat gun to soften the rubber. Watch you chin when pulling...dont ask how i know.

i need to have an alignment done, and need two new rear tires...is there a way i can do my own alignment???? I don't have it registered yet so i can't drive it, and it will be a while before i can because of school, work and stupid dmv hours. I'd take it in, but it would be a while, and i was wondering if i can do a temporary alignment myself.

Also, one of the studs on the driver side front tire is broken off and has no lug nut. Is there an easy to get it out of there without replacing the whole freakin thing? what does it take?
