I bought 4 hermit crabs last night. I finally gave into my g/f after all her begging and pleading.......but the funny thing is she cant have them at her house so they are staying with me. Just my luck. My question is for anyone that has owned these things......they are as lazy as me. I woke up at 6 this morning and 8 hours later all 4 of them are in the same spots.......is that all they do all day and night??? I take them out of their cage and let them crawl on the floor but when I put them back into their cage they go back to sleep and stay until I poke at them. Is that all they do is sleep???

If I remember correctly, they are pretty active at night.

OMG thats too funny! My girlfriend just bought a hermit crab for her daughter the other day. Then yesterday she got her another. The new one is a madman, it runs around the tank all fr ggin day! Anyway, hermit crabs....whats up with that? Is that like the cool new pet to have?

 

I had one a few years ago. Friggin thing would climb to the top of the wire cage and hang. Thats about all it would do.

I had one years ago... I thought it'd be cool to hold it and then the little f**ker pinched my hand and wouldn't let go. I was a little kid that didn't know any better, so I ripped it off my hand and bled.
