Mega SRT-10
Mega SRT-10
I visited a friend of mine, he works for the biggest Chrysler/Dodge tuner here in Germany, it is called Startech .
It is a subsidiary company from Brabus , they build Mercedes HP-Monsters and more. They company is situated here in my hometown.
He told me that they are building a SRT-10 Quad Cab with a Twin Turbo on it, they estimate 720hp and 770lb-ft.
I think when they finished it, my L will no longer be the fastest truck in town.
But he promised me that I can drive this beast after finishing it.
(Than I'll wreck it and my L is again the fastest
LOL)
I'll will keep you informed!!! Maybe with pics!!!

What's equally impressive is how some Nissan tuners have managed to wring 1,100 HP out of the V-6 engine they use in the Skyline GTR Coupe ove there...
----------------------------
But for now, in my book anyway, Germany has the lock on the torque to displacement war. That new 6.5L V-8 in their SL65, CL65 and S65 puts out over 600 lb ft or torque, as well as 612 or so HP. That's MONSTER power-levels...

We have nothing I know of, in a (production) gasoline engine, that can touch that kind of tire-liquifying torque.
And yes, those Hennessey Venom Vipers are something to behold. I read an article about the Venom 850R I think it was- well, incorrect model number of not- the top of the line packaged Hennesy Viper ran 0-60 in 2.4 seconds. That's not a typo. Two point Four seconds... (slicks) The best they ran on street tires was like 3.6 (Traction limited).
Can you even imagine have that kind of power under your right foot?
I have YET to see a new Viper on the road, and that body is in it's 3rd model year. It's not as sexy as the old Viper- not nearly the head-turner. It looks like a stretchs Honda S2000. My partner was gonna buy one, I rode to the dealership with him. You had to already be a Viper owner to purchase a new Viper. They told him they wouldn't sell it to Bill Gates, until he bought an old one first, then put his name on teh list for the new body...
They had two old ones there (2002's); I told him to buy the SIlver one, until his new one came in, then give me the old one, and we'd both have Vipers... He didn't go for it...
Perhaps if he ever makes CEO and gets that first multi-million dollar signing bonus, he'll think of his poor friend, and hook me up with a Viper!!
