Gotta love this site....we post our girls, trucks, and tools.

I bought a Dewalt (doesn't have the laser though) for my kitchen remodel last year but thought about the Ryobi too.

Nice Tool...

Hey vader,

You remodeled your kitchen, right? Did you do your own cabinets by chance?

I NEED new cabinets, but not sure if I could pull it off.

Did I build them? No.

I did gut the kitchen to the studs, rebuilt it and hung the cabinets that I purchased. Does that count?

Well assuming you aint tearing out the walls and you are just hanging cabinets it aint too bad but having someone to help would make it alot easier.

If you're gonna do it alone...and I'm sure there are more qualified people then me to answer this....I'd try the following.

Mount a straight edge (2x4, etc) level on the wall and then you can slide the cabinets up to the level and not have to try and hold them level while screwing them in.

I did have the counter tops installed because I went with a stone.

DeltaWalt? Nice brand. Buy 'em now before they are dumbed down (B&D has put too much into DW to let it slide down-market below Delta)

Hey Jamz-
The Mill's Pride cabinets from Home Depot are pretty straightforward. Just time consuming assembling them, but each one gets easier than the last. On a 1-5 skill level, they require about a 3. Vader's idea of nailing a guide board to the wall is a good one.

When cutting the countertop, use masking tape to tape off where you are going to cut and then cut through the tape. This helps keep the formica edge from chipping.

Buck-
That's a killer compound miter saw. My neighbor let me use his when I was building my shed and it was Sa-Wheet.
