I Shouldn't Have Done It

Went looking for a Ford 500 this morning with the wife. We were driving by the Chebby dealer, after seeing the 500s at the Ford dealer, and spotted a used 05 Stang. I hadn't driven one yet, so I figure why not.

It was a rental that they bought at auction. I figured that I wouldn't feel bad test driving a "used" one, and could get on it without damaging someone else's potential new car.

It only had the V6, and is bright Yellow with the rear spoiler. Let me tell you, for the price this car has hit a home run. It's surprisingly fast for a V6, and you can stomp it around any turn at almost any speed, and it holds. The whole car is built around the driver. It really feels like the older 69 Stang sitting in my garage when you drive it. It's solid, and feels like a muscle car. My wife agreed that we keep her Taurus, and buy a new 06 Stang when they come out.

Went to another Ford dealer, and got the X-plan quote on the exact model we want. I'm going to hold out until January for tax reasons, but it's a done deal otherwise.

If you bleed blue, you have to at least test drive one of these. It's alot like the F-150 in a way. It might not be the fastest compared to the GTO, Vette, etc..., but the feel of the vehicle, the interior, and exterior are second to none. 1st class ride with that old time muscle car feel.

I agree mach, they are awesome! I have an 05 gt on order and should be here in about three weeks...man I cant wait! I work at the dealer and the majority we have sold have been to people that had an old one. Imagine that!
