.......Ok now that I have your attention. I have a question, good place to post one huh?. To keep it short, I had a 97 f-150 reg. cab styleside 4x4. traded it for a 01 lariat supercab flareside 4x4. ooohhhh much better ride was there a change in thr front clip on those trucks because my 01 looks different . bumper, front fascia, etc. just looks different to me. maybe its all those beers..........no thats not it.

If you look, the 97-98's had a smaller grille than the 99 and newer. I prefer the look of the larger grille, it dips into the bumper.

 

bingo.........thanks monkey i knew there was something a little different but i just could not figure it out..........yea i agree the bigger grille does look better. i never noticed it until i got the 01............rock on

Teh fornt end (bumper) is definitely different. Not sure about the grilles, but I think they are as well.

My 97's front bumper has sort of an "underbite" - bumper sticks out a little bit from the grille. Newer ones are a bit more flush and don't stick out.

 

I think Hoss has a great smile!
