It,s like American Chapter11
They are the last major British owned car company there.

With GM and Ford buying up everything over there, it's no wonder they couldn't survive.

Plus the cars were crap unfortunately.
That didn't help.
MG was a famous (for us) sports car but they ended up putting the badge on econoboxes and suchlike which tarnished the name.
Imagine a Shelby Focus or similar.
Hopefully, someone will buy the MG name and build real sports cars again.

AHH yes the MG Midget. I liked those cars. It's the only one I saw from MG.

With GM and Ford buying up everything over there, it's no wonder they couldn't survive
If it weren't for Ford buying Jag in the '90s, they wouldve been out of business by 2000. The quality issues Jag had before Ford are well documented. MG is no different.

That's what I meant. MG just couldn't compete with that kind of corporate backing.
