AP: Honda Ridgelines invade Plano, N. Dallas, TX!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, wake up and smell the global economy people. The government doesn't need to protect anything, the US automakers need to start producing competative products...

Steps in the right direction:
Ford 500 (Awesome, although bland. Not as stylish as the Accord, Maxima, new Avalon (Which has some BMW cues), G35, M35 or Altima.
Chrysler 300: Nuff said. Bentley looks on a Dodge budget- I call that a winning recipe.
G6: Nice, but Pontiac needs to do something to make the public aware of this car. It's a diamond in the rough. Rough being the hideous new Gran Prix, and the other cars. I like the Bonneville GXP; but it's too little, too late, and equally if not less marketed than the G6.
Ford Fusion: Nice, but may not be take seriously due to it's small size.
-----------------------------------
American manufacturer's have seemingly given the flag to Japan & Germany where cars are concerned, and focusing on trucks. But, don't look now- they're building trucks too (Japan); good trucks. As sweet as the new Titan, Tacoma and Frontier are, and the new Ridgeline will probably meet or exceed Honda's expectations- imagine what the new Tundra will be like. They take a little bit at a time.
Japan doesn't deal death blows- they cover you a little bit at a time.. Almost like you're standing in an fire ant mound. They will cover your body witout your knowledge if you aren't paying attention- then once in place, they all bite at once.
I know people that refuse to ever own another American automobile. why do you suppose that is? I was one of those people after getting screwed by GM quality from 1991 - 1996, but, Ford's F-150 forced me to give America another chance. I have not been let down. If we spent the time/money on cars that we do on trucks, we wouldn't be in this position.
