Been there, done that.... a 9mm Glock always seems to change folks' mind on what they think they want to do.

 

A few weeks ago I went to Pizza Hut w/ my wife and her family. Three punk kids were screwing around at the salad bar, I blew them off as being dumasses and didn't think anymore of it.

When were leaving I went out to find the salad bar (peaches, cottage cheese, pees, etc..) all over the front of my truck, which my wife was driving. So I had to call the police, and then swap the car seats into the car so my wife sould take the kids home (2yrs and 5 months old) while I waited for the cops.

By the time the cop got there, 2 of the 3 kids had been identified by one of the employees.

I need to call that cop tommorrow - he never has got back to me on the situation...

 

so does a .357 - but the punks were gone by the time I came out

 

Contributing to the lead contamination won't help... (trust me, I've been dealing with it in Missery..urr, Missouri for the past month (and the next 4+ months)).

If the lead is discharged from a point source and deposited into a carbon based life form, no environemtnal contamination would result (OK a very minor bit from volatilazation when the gunpowder initially ignited, but it would dispersed in the ambient atmosphere)

During my the final project of my env. geochemistry course, I collected some surface samples at skeet range for lead - the results were through the roof (imagine that!), but the Pb level decreased seemingly logarythmicaly after 100ft or so

One of our guys is working on a Pb project somewhere around Cincinatti - a developer developed some property, then a homeowner heard that his property used to be a shooting range and had some soil samples run - you guessed it, way hot!

 

it's happened to me once, a buddy and I were out at a strip club in lawerence. We walk out to like 3 guys, vs. 2 of us, the biggest one was like 6'0 and 285lbs of fat more then likely. We walk up to my truck and the big guy says "is this your truck" I responded with ya, and he told me he kicked it. He said he thought it was someone else's truck, I looked over my truck and didn't see any damage so I just left.

If I had a gun I would of pulled it out and pistol whipped him, however it was me 6'0-6'1 240 and a buddy who is like 5'10 and 165 vs 3 guys the smallest being around 220. Since I have never seen my buddy in a fight I wasn't about to find out how good of a fighter he was over a drunk who was making things up.

 

Did lead soil remeadiation for the Navy at two of there bases here in Jersey. Use gold mining equipment, gold and lead both have high specific gravities. This was fine for getting the big pieces out, but tiny microscopic lead was left behind. The microscopic lead was mostly concentrated in the fine materials as the process also separated grain sizes, so we disposed of the fines while keeping the coarse onsite.

I would have seached them out and wipped them good for that. No one has respect for other peoples vehiciles anymore.
A friend just had "DO" scratched into the hood of a 2004 F-150. It's so deep that even RP can't get this one out. He does'nt know who did this and never will. How sad.
