White House Scandal: Who's Jeff Gannon?
Who Clinton is/was putting the pipe on should never have been brought to court in the first place. Congress holds hearings on the wrong stuff.. Baseball, Oprah, Monica Lewinski, etc.. What bearing does any of that have on the well-being of the country?
What man wouldn't lie about a marital indescretion?
If I was boning a little hot thing on the side, or a big hot thing in Monica's case, and I was questioned about it in court, if I didn't think they had evidence, I'd lie too. Sure, perjury is a crime, but- so is jaywalking, so is speeding, so is running a red light.
Clinton getting a BJ, and sliding a cigar into Monica's nether regions, pale in comparison to the Iran-Contra deal, and the illegal sale of weapons.. Reagan wasn't impeached for that- they scapegoated Ollie North...
Like a LT. Col. has that much pull... Get real.
Lt. Col's are nothing more than coffee makers at the Pentagon.

You did say big, but to be honest with you, using the words "hot" and "Monica Lewinski" in the same sentence totally discredits any points you may have made...

The only absolute, 100% accurate indisputable statement in this thread, where there are no secrets, no conspiracies is inbred's. Please, for the good of all people, do not use hot and Lewinsky in the same sentence.
I wasn't trying to say Monica Lewinsky was hot, but she looked kinda cute with the little beret on.
When we're in our 50's, and attention we get from 20 somethings will probably put a little lead in the ol' pencil.
No, Monica wasn't hot..
Trish Stratus is hot... Jessica Simpson is hot... Halle Berry is hot... Angelina Jolie is hot...
There are certain perks that go with the Presidency. Hottie tagging should be par for the course. (Whatever, and whomever the President deems is hot, or warm enough!

What is the big deal about Monica?
She was doing her part for her Country.
You know who the guy was married to.
Do you really want a guy who ain't gettin' none to be sitting around with his finger on the BUTTON?
("...well, if I ain't gettin' none then, Damn It, nobodys gettin' none!!!...")

Chris Rock said it best....this is all Hillary's fault.
She is the 1st lady and should be first to take care of the President's needs.
(I ain't getting in the middle of the Clinton debate that is really old but....man I'm glad he is gone)

I really liked Clinton...
I think he was awesome....
I didn't really have beef with GHWB, and I loved Reagan too.
W; I just can't get W.
I'll support him now that he's the President, again- but, he won't make my list of great Presidents..
If I were writing his performance Appraisal right now- he'd get "Meets" from me. Meets/Needs Improvement.

Any Commander In Chief, regardless if they are democrat, republican or any other party that is having an affair is VERY dangerous and a threat to national security.
I really get tired of people thinking the Clinton and Monica was no big deal. It was a huge deal. There could have been blackmail, but since it was brought out in the open that didn’t happen.
However, every single action taken by Clinton during the scandal, like the bombings ect. have to now be questioned as if they were done because there was a real need and/or threat or was it done to divert attention away from the scandal.
Nobody has any idea if Clinton’s actions were because of diverting attention or not. Anyone who is Commander In Chief has to have high morals and when they don’t, like Clinton having an affair has to be dealt with immediately so as to not endanger the country…
While Clinton done some good things he will never be remembered for any of them. He will always be remembered for the guy who was President that likes playing with cigars and young women while he should have been paying attention to the affairs of the country rather then his own selfish affair…

The sad fact is some good politicians ended up resigning in the fallout when the democrats pulled the same thing and started investigating the sex lives of house and senate members.
Personally I think we lost out because of the whole fiasco. I alot of good candidates are staying out of public life because of the scrutiny they now come under because of this sad little witch hunt.
With all due respect The President and his office, along with **** Cheney, John Kerry and John Edwards--I refuse to believe they were the best we as a country could come up with. I think we all run into people occasionally that we all consider much more capable of being our president.
Can we get back on topic now?

When the powers that be tried to get Clinton on Whitewater, they came up completely 100% empty handed

The same Whitewater investigator, doing the same investigation started looking into Clinton's sex life. It's nothing more complicated or serious than that.

While I agree it was a mess and a big pissing contest the fact remains that ANY President having an affair is a threat to national security and should not be taken lightly or as some kind of late night joke. It should be dealt with swiftly and if that means dragging a President through the mud then so be it. That will serve as a good lesson for the next Presidents to act like the leader they should be, the most powerful man in the world, not the biggest pimp daddy risking the countries security over some cheap selfish sexual encounter with smoking utensils…
