Nope he's got some green under the pillow but, only because he's heard "hold the pickle" a 1,000 times.

I know there are other options, but I'm looking at what I can afford: Payments and Insurence.

I wouldn't mind a Mustang GT, but the insurence is sky high. The Eclipse GT on the other hand is considered a sedan.

BTW green I get 16mpg HWY on a good week and the truck runs a 16.8 @ 87mph. The eclipse is in the mid-15's

Dam i wonder why you dont get better than that...i could easily see you gettig 20mpg if you had a 5-speed. I get 17-18 on the highway unloaded. I ran a 17.0@82 and that was with 2 people, full tank of gas, and a +/-100lb toolbox(contents in it)...its slow....

Id still keep your truck, but thats my opinion

Get a bike and keep the truck. You WILL kick yourself later if you don't.

add a Turbo to the Eclipse and it would be sweet!!! a guy on the local mustang board has a Turbo Eclipse and it runs low 13's to high 12's. And it would sound badass!

Guessing your truck is a 4.6 Auto ?

Ah, the memories. I traded my 02 Eclipse GS (4cyl) 5-spd for my Flareside, then my Flareside for the GT. The Eclipse was not a bad car, very fun to drive, and good on gas. I had always told myself I would never buy a 4cyl, but it really wasn't that bad, and as a few others said, throw a turbo on it, and have more fun 4 or 6.

I would however caution you on buying a 2000/2001. There were quite a few bugs that didn't get worked out until after production. I believe there were a few recalls too. I might check on that for ya later... The sun roof rails were a problem at least through 2002.

Do what you gotta do. I can say I miss my truck, but Damn! not when I'm driving the GT!

Good luck Joe!

Foci are pretty cool. Depends on the color and mods. Better than an Eclipse...
