Who's looking forward to Daylight Savings Time?
For the 47 states which practice DST, are you looking as forward as I am to the later sunsets?
|
Yeesss! Now I have more time to wash and wax Big Red after work instead of spending my Sunday on it. :beers:
|
day light savings time.....sucks, accident rates go up when this silly pre-war effort ( to increas production time in facterys ) goes into efect, basicly people suffer the = of 1 hr. of jet lag.
|
Ha - I scoff at your silly daylight savings time!
But if our new governor gets his way, we'll be getting it to:( I've never understood DST, if your going to screw with the clocks, why don't you add an hour in the evenings during the winter when it gets dark at 5:00, instead of adding an hour to the summer so it stays light until 10:00? DST was one of Ben Franklin's worse ideas (next to flying a kite in a thunderstorm) |
DST is for late sleepers. Who needs the sun shining in the window at 5:00 AM.
|
I say split the difference. Just add 30 minutes in April and then leave it alone.
|
I wish they'd pick one...In the spring, at work, it's all good, because we work until one hour later than scheduled, so we really don't work any overtime, it's still just one shift...When the clocks get set back, I just have to work an extra hour (not overtime) and no extra break...We kinda get screwed on that...

Is this when it stays light out, longer?
Isn't DST for the farmers? |
I love it, Nothing like coming off the 18th Green @ 8:30 PM. Nice and cool.

I like it when it gets dark at 9 pm, hehe. You can work on the car or truck in the driveway longer.,,,,98

I like it when it gets dark at about 1am-ish! I liked when we lived in Cordova even better, farther North, you could walk outside at 3am and still see clearly without turning on any lights!! It never got truly dark just sort of twilight for a couple hours then light again. The down side to that of course is in the winter it gets light at about 9:30am and dark again by 3:30pm :(
