To say I'm a good shot would be an understatement. I'm an expert (Hawkeye) with the M-16A1, A2, 203, M-60 and grenades. I was also the Claymore instructor for my Battalion as well as with the AT-4 and before that the LAW. With the right equipment, and position, I can ruin a person's whole weekend. I didn't fire Hawkeye every time, but I was always an expert at the minimum, and at worst a sharpshooter (The first time I fired the M-16-A2, but reclaimed my Hawkeye status shortly thereafter.)

Lee Harvey Oswald was a Marine- I don't know their marksmanship ranking, but in the Army it goes like this.

Marksman
Sharpshooter
Expert
Expert (Hawkeye).

I will make it a point to watch that the next time it comes on the History Channel. I agree with Bill- the fact that the records are sealed on that and 9-11, tells me that something sinister is being hidden from America; what's worse- it's hidden in plain sight.

We'll never know what happened; all we can do is speculate.. I don't know much about Kennedy, other than the fact that if he hadn't been the President in 1962, we'd all be dead our never been born; because the way 13 days illustrated what was going on behind closed doors, his Generals and Admirals were trying to second-guess him onto the slippery slope of war. Not just regular war, Thermo-Nuclear war.

Who knows how America would have turned out had he finished his terms. Maybe his thinking could have gotten us out of Vietnam- before it got really heated. He didn't seem as lead-by-the-nose by McNamara’s intelligence as LBJ was. All I can say is, I'm glad he was in the White House when we were in our darkest hour. There's a time to sock a guy in the nose, and there's a time to have a poker face....

cia is right. I had marksman and sharpshooter backwards. Oswald was only a marksman.

I've seen all the movies, all the tv shows, etc.

I just spent 3 hours 'playing' JFK reloaded. It's a game where you are Oswald, and the more accurately you do things as they actually happened, the more points you get.

It got some press when it came out, as people were all upset about it for obvious reasons. The real point of it is to show how unlikely it really was for it to happen as the Warren Commission says.

One thing I heard about, but never really put a lot of thought into until seeing it from that perspective is why in the heck wouldn't Oswald start shooting as the car slowed down to start the turn right below him? Waiting untill the car was past the trees made absolutely no sense.

It may be a game, but it really gives you a whole new perspective on the whole thing.

The JFK movie asked the same thing.

Why wait when you had him lined up perfectly? The reason was so they could have triangulation (3-shooters). They examined the head and body movements of Kennedy as the bullets hit him. They make perfect sense that the bullets came from vastly different trajectories, judging by how he reacted to the hits. He probably would have died from the neck shot, but the one that blew the back of his head out came from in front of him. It's kinda hard to blow the BACK of someones head out (judging by the exit wound), when you shoot them from behind. Hence the "magic bullet" BS explanation.

I guess they explained that as well as they have the 11-bullets that got fired from Sirhan-Sirhan, when he only had 6 bullets (cartridges) in his 8-shooter pistol.

No doubt, JFK pixxed a lot of people off, including the CIA- whom he vowed to "Break into 1,000 pieces". I don't know much about the CIA, but judging by the movies I've seen, they aren't the kind of people you want to pixx off.

Somebody tell me why J. Edgar Hoover had 3 bullet proof cars at his disposal, and the President of the United States had none; and rode in an open-top convertible? Well, we know that'll never happen again with what happened to the Pope, Reagan and Kennedy.. It shouldn't have happened in Kennedy's case either, but- hindsight is always 20/15.

I believe in the magic bullet theory. LHO did it and he used magic bullets.
