Barry Bonds

OK, this is just too funny.
Not that he took them or anything...
But it sure is ironic that Barry has just now decided that it's in his best interest to lose some muscle weight.

"But there has to come a time when I take some of this (muscular) weight off and forget what other people think or want me to do."

Boy, not being able to take steroids sure had nothing to do with your decision, huh Barry?

Somebody please drug test this fool already.

I don't know what the big deal is..

If taking steriods wasn't illegal in MLB, then why all the hub-bub? Did we REALLY need a congressional hearing on this BS? I mean, it's baseball for crying out loud.. Who cares? The only thing getting hit is the ball. I could understand it if some juicer knocks someone's **** off on the football field, that would be worth looking into, but not this.

Regarding Barry Bonds, that's his franks & beans he's shrinking in order to have big arms and home-run records.. The only people effected is this guy, his girlfriends (Come on, most pro's have a few- I know I would- I'd have Ho's in all the area codes), and his wife..

I'm sorry, but I don't tie what the professional athletes do to it being the reason why kids are taking steriods. That's BS. It's not like they see what these guys do. These kids know that without sports, most of them will never have the 10,000 sq ft house, the H2, The Ferrari, and the dime-piece women on their arms- so, they take steriods of their own free will to try and attain that, by any means necessary...

Don't tell me that Jose Canseco (Who started all that BS, then plead the 5th), made you stick a needle in your arms to get big muscles. That's as irresponsible as the idiots that blame Eminem's music for them cutting their own wrists. Take responsibility for yourselves people!! Stop being led by the nose, and stop believing what media spin tells you.. Use that mind God gave you to reach your own conclusions...

Making role models out of athletes = lame.
Congressional hearings into MLB = lame.
Barry blaming the media for his so-called "problems" = lame.

I wish I had the problems that guy had.

Really though should Barry Bonds be allowed to have a home run title after testing positive for steriods? I really don't think he should, myself. It really gives baseball a bad name. If they really wanted to make baseball a more entertaining game. They need to swap from the wood bats to aluminum bats. Now that would be a entertainment.

I'm sick of his lame whiny routine about the media, he can have the record if he gets it but he should get a big fat "*" next to it. If Roger Maris gets one so does he. It's also pretty lame that he brings the race card into things saying that the media is hostile b/c he, a black man, is going to break Ruth's, a white man, home run record. Last time I checked a black man named Hank Aaron broke that record a long time ago, he's on top, it's his record Barry should be chasing not worrying about passing Ruth for 2nd. I think Barry's karma is catching up with him with these knee injuries. Anyway, it's sad he juiced, he would have been one of the great ones without it, now he just an arrogant, selfish, whiny suspect.

I think it's a waste of time for Congress to investigate baseball but maybe if they had cleaned up their own mess in the same time frame the the NFL had they wouldn't be in this position. Shame on MLB for tarnishing the reputation of the sport by not getting a handle on steroids ten to fifteen years ago. JMHO

Maybe this is why I havn't watched an MLB game in 12 years.

I haven't watched one (On TV) because of it's coma-inducing properties.

Going to the game is better- indeed, it is the national passtime; if you've got nothing else to do, go to the baseball game- that'll burn off a few hours of life.

IF only we could see how many homers the pumped up jerks would've had without 'roids. Hank Aaron didn't have that advantage.

I agree Frank.

I don't care much about MLB. Kinda helps with the NFL off season but not much.

If Bonds cares so much for Aaron, then how can be break his record by cheating.

I go to 1 or 2 Orioles games a year, usually with free tickets, and just so my son can have the experience. Just because I don't like MLB, I want my son to experience it first hand.

I still love going to AAA games in Rochester, even if the Red Wings are perprtually bad.

Me & a buddy got a little 20-game pack of tickets to see the Angels this season.

Like CIA says, I can't watch baseball on TV, but going to the ballpark is a different story

Damn Right!! I'm with you brother!

I think Barry gets a bad rap. I could give a flyin f'n crap what his personality is. It still takes a hell of a lot more skill that most have to even hit a ball thrown by a major league pitcher. Hell most of the time he is walked, that’s just BS! Barry is a threat wherever he goes and he fills the seats too. More power to him the SOB is one hell of a ball player.

Damn I miss the Wings and $5 games.
I am actually a baseball fan. I got o as many games as I can, and I am one of those who are very excited about the Nationals.
I think this roid stuff is out of hand. Bonds and the crew obviously are users and maybe Bonds and McGwire need a little asterisk next to their record like Marris did. Todays pitching is far better than the old days, but come on already. Fine make roids legal, and make the baseball have a steel core. Then the game will get very interesting.
