New....

hello,

I am looking into buying an F-150. I really like the new style and think that they are a great built truck. I would like a black FX4. What I would like to know is how much do all you pay per month on one of those and how much did you get it for? What is the best way to get a cheaper price from those natzi's at the dealership, haha! I am from Colorado, so the prices and dealerships suck here. I want to lift it a little bit, maybe 2-4" and put 305 size tires on it. I also want to put a new exhaust on it, tint the windows, put a nice sound system in it, and upgrade the engine a little bit. I don't want leather, I want a dark maybe charcoal or black interior. What is the best place for all these things? Thanks for you time!

-Jimmy

Don't be ashamed to play the dealerships in your area off each other. They'll often as not have a lot more room to move (especially if it's new) on the price than the salesman'll let on. If you're looking for a new one, Ford'll probably have some rebates and whatnot on new vehicles.

Whatever you do, even if it's the truck of your dreams and you don't want anything else, be absolutely prepared to get up and walk away if the dealership won't move as much as you feel like they ought to because you did your homework on what the trucks are worth (you did do your homework, right?)

Dunno how much more help I can be, but if you're going to have a trade in, lie through your teeth. When you start fighting for numbers with the dealership, tell them you absolutely, positively do NOT want to trade anything in. When you finally get them to a number you like and you've got that number initialed by the sales manager, then and only then are you to mention that you want to trade something in. Before you go, if you are trading something, get that car detailed and make sure it looks as good as it's gonna look, cause they'll take price down for every single thing that they think might be wrong.

Go forth and screw that dealership, man. Cause they're trying to screw you.

Hi and welcome to the site

Hope you get your truck soon. This site has a great "search" feature where you can find the answers to most if not all of your questions. If you can't find it...just ask, someone is always willing to lend a bit of advice or technical knowledge.
