Too big......?

A friend of mine drives an 03' with 9" of lift and 38's. And he has run over other cars twice, the first time he was cutting across a median and drove over the back bumper of a civic. And yesterday he took a turn too sharp and drove up the side of the camero next too him. funny, but are 38's too big to be practical on the street?

Sounds like your friend needs to be more careful.

My friend Scott ran 38s on his TWO WHEEL DRIVE RANGER for a year before some car plowed under him bending almost everything. His new 04 Ranger 4x4 is on 35s.

38s are not to big if you watch out.

Yeah, me and several of my friends have driven trucks with 44s since I first got my license, and we haven't ever hit anything with them that we didn't mean to hit...

It also sounds like your friend's 03' needs to be mentioned elsewhere in the forum....

I drove a 1979 Toyota with 44" 's and 26" of lift. Not once did I ever run over any thing I did not mean to. Sounds like your friend is one of those people that don't know the limits of their vehicle. Like when a lane narrows over a bridge and the people almost come to a complete stop as they think they are gonna scrape against it.....

Yeah, it sounds like your friend just needs to learn how to drive...
