The "old" Metallica is awesome music. My favorite album is ....And Justice for All. I used to be a HUGE Metallica fan but after the black album, they've gone soft. There are a couple good songs on Load and Reload, but everything after that is crap. I bought St. Anger, listened to 2 songs, and literally threw it away! That was some of the worst crap I've ever heard! Oh well, they used to be awesome.

I totally agree! Those are my exact thoughts. I don't think they ever will be as good as they once were.

That would be the famed Black Album or actually it's just a self titled album...

It's a shame, really. They used to kick so much ***, now they just toss salads... Ever since "Load" (and a load it is!) it's been all down hill.

I'll just listen to one of the many bootlegged concerts of theirs that I have, when they truely rocked. Funny thing about that is they used to thank the bootleggers during the shows, that was when they got ZERO air play! That was pretty much how they got started - word of mouth.

Oh well....

They went down hill thanks to their therapist. Made 'em soft.
