EEEEWWWWW ME LIKE!!!!
Damn now Iam going to have to go buy one.

Too bad it carries the outragous Saleen price tag as well!
When I bought my first one they "A" planned it to me. They took the price of the saleen package off, then A-planned the base price, then added the package price back on.
I remember back when I bought mine there was only one dealer in KY where you could get one. I went to look at Cobras, and happened to ask the dealer jokingly "Can you A-plan these?" pointing to a white on white saleen "Sure can" he replied. Then I'll take one of those. lol
Anyway check with your dealer about A-planning these or X -plannig them.

I agree. They do look very nice. I like them a great deal. $15,000 over a loaded GT? I'll laugh every time I see one on the street. Not at the car; but, at the fool driving it. As far as I can tell, and I could be wrong, they don't even do engine work to the S/C models. Just slap a supercharger on it, and do some tuning. For the premium they ask, there should be a little reliability built in.

Yup.

Look close at the car. It's a 03 Saleen Cobra. One of nine made.
And what do Cobras do? They strike (bite).

The guy paid 50K+ for it.

Damn! Those are sweet, but with the $23,000+ I saved I could have a lot of fun with what I got... or go get another one for my GF, and still have some money to play with...

Cobra R??? You must be joking. 2001 Mustang Cobra R (last year for the R version) was nearly equivalent to the last Cobra (2004), except the R can pull higher g's (1.01 vs 0.9) and has a higher top speed (175 vs 155); not that these things matter for the average user . The Vette and Viper are by far more technologically advanced. The Mustang is a great muscle car and has great straight line feel, but it is nothing to the Vette and Viper owners who want more than that.

2004 Saleen Mustang S281-E went for ~$65K and you got 445 HP at 0-60 in 4.4 and quarter mile in 12.5 at 111 MPH.

That my friends, is a waste of money. This fall, you'll get a Corvette Z06 for probably 65K and it'll be 500 HP, 0-60 in 3.7 and quater in 11.7 at 125 MPH....AND.... you'll still have room for a superchager/turbo etc.

Saleen better make good on the new S281-E.
