As long as they don't get killed because they were dumb enough to drive after drinking.
You've got a good head on your shoulders.

I graduated high school in 2000. I didn't drink, mainly 'cause my folks would kick a hole in my *** if they busted me. When I was in high school, they didn't really mind if I had a drink or two, as long as I did it at home. But if I did it behind their backs, all bets were off. A lot of my friends when they hit college took off to drinking, pretty heavily too. Going to a few of their parties, it was kinda interesting to see and then to hear the stories the morning after.

Now, just a beer every now and then with friends.

Edited to add: It's kinda funny this topic was brought up, I'm reading a book by Koren Zailckas, Smashed: The Store of a Drunken Girlhood. First drink at 14, stomach pumped at 16 from alcohol poisoning, date raped at 19, waking up in a stranger's apartment at 22. A must read, especially if you're a parent of a child at college.

Just because I hate beer and I don't drink that often doesn't make me a freak. Alcohol ain't everything. Even at my wedding, we are planning it to be with no alcohol, not even with Champagne.

There is more I would say, but I'm not saying anything else.

I personally drank in high school and I drink it college. I don't drink often, only on special occasions.

Paulv dont plan on having a lot of guest. J/k

I am with alot of the guys here, drank more in high school than now.

btw a little story. I had 1 of those buddys that started shaving in jr high and was like 6ft and 220, so he was the one to usually buy the beer. We went to a liquor store to buy beer one time and he went in and came back out with the beer and was laughing his head off. Come to find out he had went in there with his senior 99 t-shirt on and they didnt even card him, btw it was 99.

Oh so many stories so little time!

I'm with you on that one. Not that I didn't do my fair share of drinking when I was in high school but I drank mostly wine. Now I don't drink at all. About 15 years ago I developed an enzyme in my body that reacts with the alcohol and makes me violently ill when I drink, so I stopped. Get this though, about 8 years ago I had a doctor tell me that if I was interested he would put me on drug therapy to "correct the problem"!! It stuck me as funny, take drugs so that I can drink! I just said no thank you, it's been so long since I've had a drink that I just don't miss it anymore. I go out, I party, I wake up without a hangover and I remember everything that happened the previous night! Plus the hubby loves that he always has a DD on duty!!

Oh yea...drinkin in high school. We used to either use a fake ID or pay a whino to by us stuff...this was in the early 60's. Our drink of choice was Muscatel wine. At 55 cents a half pint, old 'sneaky pete' was the cheapest, longest-lasting, dirtiest drunk you could buy. Got buzzed on Friday night, threw up a lot, and didn't straighten-out til Monday morning. That stuff was nasty. To this day I can still taste it. Anyway, I hardly have a taste for alcohol these days...only the ocasional Coors during the summer.

I graduated in 1988. I did not drink until after I graduated. I lived in Texas then. Drinking age was 21. Drinking age in Louisiana was 18. We would go over there and drink. It wasn't that far of a drive from where we lived.
