I've had dinner and hung out with James Earl Jones, had drinks with Sam Donaldson, had my hand crushed by Dallas Cowboys Hall-of-Famer Bob Lilly on more than one occasion, met John Elway, bumped into Daryll "Moose" Johnston on accident, and just the other night sat in a booth at Outback Steakhouse across from the kid with the lisp from that Dr. Seuss movie with Mike Meyers.

I walked past Jimmy Buffet once.

I was walking through a hanger and walked past this guy who looked familiar, but I could not place him. I said hi as I walked past, just to be friendly. That night I had GAC on and realized who that guy from the hanger was when I seen him in Alan Jackson's video.

Walked by Charo in a Vegas parking lot about 20 years ago (I was just a little kid, but even at that age I loved the way she said "coochie-coochie-coo!" while hopping up and down).

 

I met Julia Roberts out one night at a bar, got a picture with her but I made her get up out of her chair so I could sit down.



Later that night I went up onstage and Jammed with Stevie Wonder.

 

And then believe it or not Billy Idol came walking up and said nice show man, I want to sign you up with a record deal. I told him thanks but no thanks.



And then who would have believed it, but when I walk off the stage Jennifer Lopez came up and wanted to dance. Why not I told her. Everything was going good until I decided to give her butt a little squeezing.



Oh man what a night that was. Then I woke up and realized in was all a dream.............damn.

From 1976 until 1979 I was Bob Gilbertson's first Crew Chief on his then Alcohol Funny Car. He now campaigns a Top Fuel Funny Car on the NHRA circuit and is currently 12th in the points.
One of the most down to earth people I have ever met....
