Thanks for all your kind words. I still think that the Lightning is something special. The reason I bought the SSR, is that I put an order in for a Yellow Z06, and want to use the Yellow SSR to tow it to Englishtown, hopefully this year, if the Z06 comes in early. I think it would be a great combination. I'm not going to race the SSR, and what I like about the '03 and '04 opposed to the Corvette engine that they put in the '05's, is that the manifold is set up differently, much higher, so it gives more torque for better towing. I may have to do some modifications to the rear suspension, which I'm looking into now. They did come out with a beatiful blower set up that fits in very neatly on the '04 SSR and you gain 100 hp. I guess with certain modifications, you could make that engine scream. It's an all aluminum, newly designed small block based on the old 327 V8. From what I found out, the heads are interchangeable with the LS1 and it's a strong little engine. My wife and I, thank God, are fortunate enough to be able to change our vehicles and enjoy the products that we like each year if we want. I think GM designers did a great job on the new SSR, showing us what's in store for the years to come.
