Sold the L, need moral support/consolation

Well, it's gone. I sold it last weekend... to be replaced by an '02 Xterra 4x4 (at least it's got an Eaton on it ). Talk about a downgrade, but it'll fit our needs better (we're expecting our first in August)! I took a releative bath on the truck with taxes and mod money spent, but I keep trying to reassure myself... you got a good deal on the Xterra, you did the right thing - practicality, yuck!, you diligently compromised with your wife and you can build a '66 Fairlane, etc., etc. So far, I'm not doing that great a job of believing my B.S. I think I'm suffering withdrawls.

My wife's boss got squeezed by his wife when their child was coming, so he traded his Vette on an Expedition. He had withdrawal really bad, and convinced his wife that the Expy was just too hard on gas- and that they needed something easier on gas. She agreed, and he went out and bought a Pontiac GTO..

Yep, he really gave it all up- and he's saving on gas...

Yep; he's putting less gas in; difference is, it's Premium instead of 87 octane. He wanted his Vette back; and he got it!

I figure the Fairlane and a 514 will help me create my own little monster!
