An old lady goes into sporting goods store to buy a fishing pole for her grandson. After she looks through a few, she grabs one and heads to the counter to pay for it. When she arrives at the counter, she discovers that the clerk is blind.

She stands silently for a minute, and finally the clerk says,"Yes, I'm blind, but if you'll just lay your merchandise down on the counter, I can tell what it is by the sound it makes." So she puts the rod fishing pole down, and the clerk says,"Ah, that's the Berkley Rod with the Zebco 404 reel, and it's on sale today for $20.00, a very good choice.

Stunned, the lady reaches into her purse to pull out her credit card, but drops it on to the floor. The guy behind the counter says, "Ah, that would be a VISA card."

As she bends over to pick up the card, a short but loud fart escapes. Hoping that the clerk didn't notice, she picks up the card, and hands it to him. He grabs the card, and says, "O.K., with tax your total comes to $39.99.

"Wait a minute!", the woman exclaims, "You said that pole was on sale for $20.00!

The blind man replies, "Yes, but the duck call is $12.00 and the Stink Bait is $6.88!

 

I'd like to know where they live with tax that low!!!
