Any body men/painters in here?

Or women... sorry...

I'm thinking about getting a Cobra rear bumper for my GT, but obviously don't want the "COBRA" on my car. So, my question is.... How would one go about "removing" the lettering? Would it be best to cut that section out, and replace it, or for something that shallow is there a good way to fill the letters? I know a good bodyman/painter, just don't get to see him often. Thought I'd get some opinions on here...

thanks...

Cervini has a goog selection of dirfferent parts, but i'm not sure what they have for a 99 and up stang. They make high quality stuff.
They do have some stuff for the f150 though.

I know how to paint and I've painted and repaired damage on my truck but I'm no expert. I vote for cut it out and weld in new metal.

I would think filling it would be helluva lot easier or go aftermarket.

There are plastic welders... I think they are like $35 and up at the local Harbor Frieght tool store... However plastic line is harder to come by and takes a lot of skill to figure out what type of plastic it is that you want to weld so you know what type of line to buy.

Epoxy a filler pannel in would be a much better choice...

I know there are plastic welders, I was just stating it was plastic because Urban said metal.

I'm sorry Joe, that was not a dig....

Super glue it....NO NO.. duct tape that will hold it... LOL

I havn't used platic epoxy on a car yet but I bought some from the local home imrovement store in the plumbing section and have used it on my water pipes 2 years ago and it worked great. It stuck to them like gorilla snot and on the tube it says it is good for plumbing repairs PVC, ABS, CPVC, and many other plastics it also suggest applications for automotive, marine and appliances.

When I used it on the busted hot water heater pipes it got rock hard and was fairley easy to sand.... It also says that it's paintable, so you could just scuff up the letters with paper then fill them with the epoxy, sand it smooth and paint it.

Oh, sorry...

I should have clarified. I want an 03/04 Cobra rear bumper...

I've looked through all the aftermarket kits, and frankly, I don't care for any of them. The parts I would like to get unfortunately will make me look like a wannabe I'm afraid. I really want an 01 Cobra front end, 03/04 Cobra rear and spoiler. Possibly even the Cobra sides (notice how they go straight down? Mine kinda kick out, and are annoying...) I do however really like the "Stalker" hood on Cervini's website...

Here's an 01 front end...

No I don't want my car to be yellow. It's just an easy color to see...
