Seen any good movies lately?

Just wondering if anyone has seen any good movies lately. I just got finished watching "SAW". It was pretty good, not real scary but creepy and a little intense at times. Last week I watched "The Grudge". That movies was awesome. Gave me chills in a few parts.

So what have you guys seen lately?

Friday night I saw Because of Winn Dixie. It was a super good movie.... had a good storyline to it and made a lot of sense. It may come off as a kiddy movie but it really is good for anybody, IMO.

Besides,,,

Dave Matthews is in it.

The Punisher was AWESOME!!! It has to be one of my favorite movies...

I thought The Village was great until it got towards the end...then I thought it was terrible. I almost just got up and left....

Hmmm...

watched Saw last night, pretty good.
I really like The Village.
The Punisher was really good.
Alien vs. Predator wasn't too bad for just a good action flick.
Harold and Kumar "Thank you. Come again"

Can't really think of much else that's been good...

Collateral & Grudge were pretty lame in my opinion...

Watched "The Forgotten" tonight. Realy good movie; the plot is exciting and the director did a fine job with the screenplay. Had me glued to the screen and even made me jumped a few times.

Saw "SAW" and was disappointed.

We watched it tonight too and I agree, great movie!! We also watched Shaun of The Dead (hubbies choice) it was mildly entertaining.

I liked The Village, Grudge and AVP. Saw was OK could, have been lots better.

I thought the Village was terrible, I fell asleep a few times. If you've seen Harold and Kumar...then you have to see Napolean Dynamite..extremely STUPID, but as stupid as it is, its that funny. Plus you'll be walking around calling everyone a "flippin Idiot" afterwards.

anyone here seen the movie napoleon dynamite?

my wife and i rented it several weeks ago, then i bought it shorlty after that.

first time i watched it was by myself (and a martini or two), ended up falling asleep halfway through. then watched it sober the next night and was blown away by how great the movie is.

my wife couldnt stand the flick, but i have watched it a bunch of times and it keeps getting better with each viewing.

there is almost no violence, no alcohol, no nudity, and no cursing but the movie still rocks.

i would think if you dug fargo, or spinal tap, you would stand a good chance of liking this movie also.

from the people i know who have seen this movie, the vibe i get is either they love it, or hate it (doesnt seem to be too much middle ground on this one).

MAJOR CHICK FLICK

If you want to impress the woman in your life rent The Notebook. Trust me she will be in tears by the end of the movie.

Just a little warning............ You may also have a tear in you eye.

If you want to see a funny movie....goto the theater and see Hitch.

It was the funniest movie I have seen in years.

I watched it. We rented some independant flick about a couple lost at see, and only watched about 20 minutes of it, so I decided I would watch this one all the way through... I'm not sure hate is a strong enough word. There was absolutely nothing to keep me interested. I only remember laughing at one scene in the whole movie, and I can't even remember what that was now... My buddy loved the movie, but knowing that I assumed it would suck... He thought both Charlie's Angels movies were great... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Now, Hitch looks good, but that same buddy really like it, so I'm a little hesitant... I also watched Shark Tale recently... Not near as impressed as I'd hoped to be. Lenny was funny, the octapus guy was funny, the jelly fish guys were funny... but the rest of the show was just the Fresh Prince under water...

brewdude, this could go on all day, but for me, almost every line in napoleon dynamite is quotable.

'are you drinking 1% cause you think your fat?, your not you know, you could be drinking whole if you wanted to'

'dare me to go talk to that girl over there'
'which girl?'
'the girl that left the crap at my door'
'sure'

also to tina: 'eat the food' as napoleon is whipping the food at the ground.

the bike jump & scene at the chicken farm were hilarious too.

'do the chickens have large talons?'

coser9, it does seem weird with this flick, people either seem to love it or hate it.

Ladder 49 was good (sad ending though)

Without a Paddle was pretty funny

I also saw naplean dynamite a while back...I didnt care for it too much. I didnt get it, there just didnt seem to be a point to the movie.
