Hoover (Birmingham) AL Dealers

I will be down in Hoover AL visiting friends in the next couple of weeks. I have currently been truck shopping in my area (Southern Illinois) and haven't really found any dealers with what I want (price and selection). Are there any good hi-volume dealers down that way that don't automatically assume you are stupid and would pay MSRP?

What I am looking for is getting the most bang for my buck. I would love to get into a Lariat or FX4 scab, but will probably have to settle for an XLT.

If you honestly want 'more bang for your buck', then forget about buying a brand new truck. Start looking for 2-3 year old trucks with low mileage instead. How else would you expect a lowly tree climber like me to be able to afford a loaded Lariat? I picked up an almost spotless trade-in for HALF the cost of a new one. It belonged to the president of a local construction company and was traded in the same week it rolled over 36K miles. Now I'm in a loaded Lariat SCab for $18K instead of an XL regular cab. If I end up spending a grand on repairs in the next year then I'm still waaay ahead, and I'm still driving a loaded Lariat for $18K!

I have been looking for low mileage trade-ins, but just haven't run across what I want. Used trucks in my area are hard to find. They are either beat up, stripped down or too pricey.

I will probably go the used route, but just thought I would feel out the new truck market.

I live in Hoover. There are 5 or 6 dealers in town (Birmingham). Long-Lewis Ford is probably the biggest dealer, but I really don't like them but I never use them for service. I purchased my F150 from Woody Anderson Ford in Huntsville, AL.
