Sometimes when I quote someone I'll notice a misspelled word and wonder whether to correct it. If the misspelling is not germane to subject or new drift from the subject, I don't see changing it as a crime. Although the frame 'quote' makes changing it a lie, as it's really no longer a direct quote.
I usually look back to see how far up the orginal quoted post is located to determine if I might get caught fixing someone else's typos. If the post is far enough back and the change is very slight what can it hurt? It only helps the person I quoted from being embarrassed again by having the typo redisplayed.

I have proof readers sending work back to me with corrections all day.... Now I come here to relax and share some knowledge, maybe get some help, or share a joke or two. Only to now have to worry that somebody, "That I'm not even paying" is critiquing my spelling and grammar! Lets just have fun aight..
God can't I just relax and have fun, anywhere?

Do you know what I just realized? These guys are making 10-20 times or more what most "if not all of us" are making, and they do not use proper grammer to communicate. Yet there is not any question what they are saying! They get thier point across and that is the whole purpose of communication of any form. Is it not?
Did anyone not comprehend the content of someone elses post here? Or what exactlly is the point to this?
