Thumbs up

Nice, I was just at a dealer today and they had TWO of them. Nice looking car all around!! The first things I would do if I could ever afford one, is take off the rear bumper, and shorten the exhaust tips.,,,,98

I'd peel off the "Ford GT" stickers...

And, remove any stripes.

And would only have it on one color... black.

This is an awesome, but un-pretty car.

CIA, you do realize this is a replica of a historic racing car, right? Those were the markings it carried into battle. To not have them would be unforgivable. JMO, though.,,,,98

It's the car Ford built to kick Ferraris butt, which it did..... Sort of a grudge match, since Ford tried to buy Ferrari, and they refused to sell....

There are three stripe options
None
Ford GT
Ford GT & hood stripes
white / blue / black / silver / red.

If my ***** was big enough I would get the GT only version and in black.

If I had the money, mine would be the baby blue and orange Gulf racing colors, with all the stickers and numbers added as well. Something about that paint scheme. Of course I also like the green 05 Mustangs best, too. I go for off the wall colors.,,,,98

I like the retro look and how it pays homage to a time long past. I know the legend well; but man- this baby is a little too retro. I think the original was a little prettier IMGHO. She ain't the prettiest flower in the garden. The hood stripes, in my opinion- only intensifies the "ugly".

Then again, I don't like stripes on anything, up to and including:

Ford GT
Viper
Mustang
Mini Cooper (Although a tasteful, off-center stripe isn't nearly as offensive on this vehicle).
Trucks (Why???)

If you're going to do stripes, you may as well have "Tide" put on the hood, and a number put on the door.

That said: If I won one; I'd take it; sell it to someone for $120,000. I'd then and take that money and buy a 2005 Corvette, and pocket $80,000.00.

MSRP is about $139,000. I didn't ask the dealer what they were selling it for. I can't afford it anyway...lol

Thumbs down

See, it all comes down to a matter of personal taste. The last Vette I liked was the 80-81 model, or whatever year before they changed the body over with the big facelift. The new one is the ugliest yet, IMHO.,,,,98

I like deck stripes on pretty much anything, except foreign cars that is. If they're done right, which they hardly ever are, they look great...
