Microsoft Recalls Xbox Power Cords!
Being in the product safety compliance business, I've seen things like this many times. It most likely has nothing to do with Microsoft. It probably has to do with the company that supplies the cords to Microsoft's manufacturer which is probably located in the far east. I've seen a lot of crazy things in this business.
I've seen manufacturers put UL or ETL Listing marks on things that have never been tested, switch components with unlisted components, etc. They don't actually com out and say what the issue with the power cord is though.
I don't have an Xbox. What type of cord is it? Is it a wall adaptor or a some kind of power adaptor, or just a cord?

Big deal. M$ just wants S/Ns so it can figure out who's modding, who's online, and who does what. I'll stick with my x-box-of-death, thank you.
And jamz, it's few than 10K. With over a million folks owning one, I'm not worried. I've got a better chance of having my truck turn into a vibrator.
